After growing up in a white middle-class suburban neighborhood of New Jersey, I came out of the closet during the late 80’s during the height of the AIDS epidemic, the dawning of AIDS activism, and the birth of New Queer Cinema. I have worked in Pittsburgh, the San Francisco Bay Area, and nationally at the intersection of identity, liberation politics, and art. Eventually, I found my calling in the realm of leadership development and coaching in the social justice sector.

I am on faculty with Leadership that Works and co-lead the Coaching for Transformation distance learning program with Belma Gonzalez. I received my coaching certification from Coaches Training Institute in 2006 and have a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coach Federation.

In addition I'm an affiliated coach and consultant with CompassPoint Nonprofit Services and RoadMap Consulting.

I hold a BA in interdisciplinary studies from the California Institute for Integral Studies. I live in Santa Rosa with my partner Alan and our teenage daughter.
